Florida Launches Another Rocket Into Space; Brownsville Gets An Exploding Grain Silo.

SpaceX closed off access to Boca Chica Beach a few days ago. That didn't stop people from driving out as far as they could on State Highway 4. Some excited onlookers took their kids to watch the SN9 Starship prototype launch into the sky. One minute left. The crowd waited with baited breath...

The launch was cancelled. Everybody go home.

That seems to be par for the course for Elon Musk and his merry band of swindlers.

They tried it again. The excited onlookers once again drove out to see the launch. This time they were treated to an explosive firework show.

The "flying grain silo," as we've affectionately named the starship prototype, flew eight miles into the air. It came back down and flipped over to land. It was supposed to slow down as it touched down on the launchpad.

It didn't.

It crashed onto the launchpad in a firey explosion of fuel and debris. One wonders just how far debris rained down along the wetlands of Boca Chica and the neighboring Boca Chica Village.

Musk, ever the snake oil salesman, took to Twitter, saying his team got all the data they needed and the test was a success.

I may not be the brightest crayon in the box, but if you're building a rocket to blast people hundreds of thousands of miles to Mars, the measure of a successful launch would be to not have the thing explode into millions of pieces, killing everyone on board.

I highly doubt we'll see any trips to Mars anytime soon.

Meanwhile, in Cape Canaveral, this weekend saw SpaceX launch another Falcon 9 rocket into space to put a new satellite in orbit for SiriusXM. While we're destroying the environment and blowing things up, Florida is reaping the benefits of all the broken promises Musk made to city, county, and state leaders.

But don't worry, all those engineers out at SpaceX Boca Chica who drive all those cars with out-of-state license plates are making preparations to blow up the SN10, 11, and 12 starship prototypes soon.

They just have to clean off and fix the launchpad.

I wonder how easily charred spaceship washes off?
